Job Description:Applications are now invited for RC Academic English Tutors. Successful candidates will work with students in the new RC Academic English programme, encouraging and helping students use an online language learning platform most effectively, checking students’ progress in English language learning, and engaging in supplementary learning activities. Training will be provided.As Tutors, you will be given training in leadership and management skills. You will learn how to be a facilitator of others' learning. This is a great opportunity to develop both personally and professionally. It will give you insight and experience for any career, especially in fulfilling roles of mentor and future leader.
Who can apply?Senior-level undergraduate students, MA or PhD students, ELTAs or FAH Teaching Fellows are encouraged to apply. We are looking for candidates with the following qualities: - Conscientious and considerate of students' needs- Excellent organizational skills- Ability to multi-task- A team player who works well in a collaborative setting- Good English communication ability is a bonus
Working hours and training:You must commit to working a minimum of 6 hours per week during the semesters. The tutoring hours are between 5-7pm Monday to Friday on UM Campus, training hours will be arranged by English Language Centre at other times. The hourly rate is 66 MOP/hour, training and preparation hours are also paid.
