MCM College Before Sunrise Mandarin
 
Macau, a small city with rich cultures, represents an outstanding and unique example of the long-lasting encounter between the West and China. To experience the rich culture of Macau, MCM College Before Sunrise group visited the Mandarin House. Among the existing residential complexes in Macau, the Mandarin House is the largest in scale. It not only presented characteristics of traditional Guangdong residences, but also architectural influences from western cultures, marking the cultural exchange between the East and the West. It is also in this residential complex that cultivated Zheng Guanying, Chinese philosopher and philanthropist, who wrote the “Golden Age Prophecy”.
On the way to the Mandarin House, the group has also visited other important historic sites of Macau, broadening their knowledge on Macau’s history. |
