Vienna School of International Studies

The postgraduate programmes of the Vienna School of International Studies for the academic year of 2020-21 are now open for application:

DA Diploma Programme
A one-year postgraduate programme covering the fields of international relations and contemporary political history, international economics, international and European law, with special focus on the EU. In addition relevant professional skills are trained through negotiation simulations and practical exercises in presentation and interview techniques. Special language training is provided in German, English, French, Russian, Spanish, Chinese and other languages.

Master of Advanced International Studies (MAIS)
A two-year programme for graduate students who wish to specialise in international studies with a particular focus on Europe. The programme analyses recent pan-European developments from an interdisciplinary perspective that is intended to convey a well-founded understanding of the complex processes of change in Europe since the collapse of the Iron Curtain. The pro gramme is a joint venture of the DA and the University of Vienna. Students having appropriate interdisciplinary qualifications already may graduate from the MAIS programme after one year.

Master in Environmental Technology & International Affairs (ETIA)
A two-year programme in cooperation with TU Wien. Students learn to analyse relevant issues concerning the environment and sustainable development both from a political, economic and legal perspective (year 1 at the DA) and from a scientific and technological perspective (year 2 at TU Wien)
