About the Program

"Idea Explorer" Innovation & Entrepreneurship Global Summer Camp 2019, organized by School of Management, Zhejiang University every year, offers three weeks of full-immersion experience of traditional Chinese culture and innovation and entrepreneurship in Hangzhou. In this 3-week intensive program, students will enhance their knowledge on innovation and entrepreneurship in China. The program comprises classroom lectures, company visits, cultural experiences and group presentation. Classroom lectures will be provided for the students to discuss about the business and entrepreneurial knowledge in China in terms of various perspectives such as economic, cultural, intellectual property, and financial issues, etc. Visiting the local companies enhance students to have a clear concept about the entrepreneurial environment in Hangzhou. Experiencing Chinese cultures such as calligraphy, Tai-Chi and cultural visits to, for example, the West Lake and museums, enhance students’ knowledge about Chinese culture. At the end of the program, students are required to present their entrepreneurial project by group in purpose of integrating their knowledge they will have learned during the program.

Program Fee

The program fee (application Fee, tuition, accommodation, visits and activities) are exempted.

Subject to assessment and undertaking, the University of Macau will sponsor the transportation expenses and travel insurance.

**Warm Reminder

Participants are responsible for their own expenses such as visa fee, extra-activities fee and the optional Day Return Weekend, etc.

The Program Fee will cover attendee’s accommodation from June 17 to July 5 2019.

Application Information

1. Eligibility

UM students with priority to:

· Local students with proficiency in English language skills.

· Team members of incubation teams of the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship

**The program will be conducted in English.

Applicants shall provide following documents and send to: ICI.Innovation@um.edu.mo

· Application form (see below)

· Your resumé, including your educational and professional experiences, interests and other information that you think is appropriate;

· A scanned copy of Mainland Entry Permit (回鄉證)

· A digital copy of your passport-sized photo

5. Assessment

Shortlisted applicants shall attend an interview of which the date will be held from 18 to 22 February 2019.

6. Undertaking

Students who are nominated are required to submit a reflection of this program in no shorter than 2 pages (single-lined) and are do sharing about this program which will be arranged by the Centre.
