Dear UNIX System Users,
All the related services of the UNIX System have been successfully upgraded on Friday, January 3, 2020. The UNIX System operating system has been upgraded to RedHat Enterprise 7.7, we also enlarged the storage capacity by 15%.
In addition, the UNIX email services have been fully upgraded to enforcing TLS 1.2 encryption, which can further ensure your data security. We believe that by this major upgrade, you will enjoy a more efficient and secure service.
UNIX System has upgraded services as follows:
• Student Email Service (service provided by UM, https://studmail.um.edu.mo)
• IMAP (imap.wkg1.um.edu.mo)
• POP3 (pop3.wkg1.um.edu.mo)
• SMTP (smtp.wkg1.um.edu.mo)
The original UNIX Remote Desktop service has been upgraded to the UNIX Virtual Computer Room service. The virtual desktop service a faster and convenience computing services for teaching staff and students in class.
