In order to access your office extension when you are not at your workstation, you need a softphone client named “Jabber”. It brings the Unified Communication service to your mobile device for your access anywhere.

You can easily answer your extension number, access voice mail, forward extension number to other phone number, make point-to-point video call, file sharing, desktop sharing and audio conferencing with your mobile device.

Below are the Frequently Ask Questions:

Q1: How to install and login Jabber client?
A1: You can install “Cisco Jabber” on your mobile devices by scanning the QR Code below:



UM Staff can login the Jabber client with the UMPASS. If you will use Jabber client on your personal devices such as mobile device, please enter UserID@umac.mo at the first time, then you can login with your UMPASS.

Q2: How do I forward the calls via Jabber client?
To forward all calls to another number:
1. Click your icon after login the Jabber client.
2. Click the setting button.
3. Select “call forward” option.
4. Click “new number” and input the number (e.g. mobile phone). Forwarding to external number, you need to enter “6” + the external number. Example: 662345678
