Admission committee usually sort the graduate school applicants by GPA or GRE/GMAT score. For those who meet the admission requirement, they will be evaluated according to other criteria. Although every committee member may have different preference, they do take the following items into account:
- Grades of the main field of study
- Recommendation letters written by the professors
- GPA of the last or two years before graduation
- Score on GRE/ GMAT verbal session
- Relevance between your main field of study and the programme that you are applying for
