CKPC Guizhou Voluntary Teaching Exhibit
Gantuan primary school is located in Congjiang county of Guizhou province. It has 10 teachers and 140 students. Most are of Dong minority with parents working far away.
CKPC's voluntary teaching team went to Gantuan primary school twice a year. Through activities and multimedia, the team taught Chinese, English, Mathematics, Science, and Music, helping the rural children to know the world and cultivating their good habits and empathy.
Members of the voluntary teaching team came from different faculties of UM. Each year, the team recruited new members. After three months of hard work, including training, writing lecture plans, and mock teaching, the team finally went to Gantuan primary school for a week. They were deeply moved by the innocent and enthusiastic children. The team was eager to give them more love and companionship.
This exhibit includes pictures of the voluntary teaching team from December 2018 and June 2019. Welcome to visit us at University Gallery (E1) from now on until 31st of December.
