講解會上大家匯聚一堂，分享成為校園記者的喜悅以及瞭解校園記者的職責。傳訊總監張惠琴致歡迎辭時，熱烈歡迎新成員的加入，希望記者們努力工作，為澳大人報導更多精彩的故事，以及通過一連串的培訓和採攝工作，拓展多方面的潛能。

迎新營上，多名導師設計了豐富精彩的活動，包括破冰遊戲、澳門半島城市定向以及攀岩體驗等。同學們在定向活動中嘗試拍攝、錄影以及進行街頭採訪等，使大家更快投入記者這個角色。同時，大家也在團體合作中建立友誼以及加深對彼此的瞭解，和諧有愛的團體氛圍也帶給大家歸屬感。

傳訊部於2012年推出澳大校園記者計劃，今年已經來到第八屆，歷屆共招募了287位校園記者。此計劃每年招募在讀的澳大學生發掘校內有趣的故事，使澳大新聞更加多元化，並為對採訪、寫作以及多媒體製作有興趣的學生提供實習平台，提升他們寫作、攝影和錄像製作的能力。今屆還新增主持人的工作，讓喜歡幕前幕後工作的學生都有一展才能的機會。

This year, we have recruited 41 trainee reporters from different faculties and residential colleges under the UM Reporter Programme, an orientation meeting and an orientation camp were held for these student to welcome them.

During the orientation meeting, the new batch of UM Reporters shared their excitement about becoming a UM Reporter, with some saying that they learned more about the duties of a UM Reporter. Katrina Cheong, director of the Communications Office, delivered a speech, in which she warmly welcomed the new members and expressed hope that they would uncover more interesting stories about UM students, faculty and staff.

During the orientation camp, students participated in a variety of fun activities, including ice-breaking games, city orientation, and rock climbing. Students were encouraged to take photos and videos and even to conduct street interviews during the activities in order to get an early taste of the role of a reporter. Everyone had fun and made new friends.

Launched by CO in 2012, the UM Reporter Programme aims to provide a platform for interested students to develop journalistic skills and language skills. Over the past years, we have recruited 287 students under the programme and have organised various kinds of training courses, workshops, and exchange activities to help participants develop various skills.
