University of Pennsylvania Glee Club
As the University of Pennsylvania Glee Club enters its 157th season of existence, it remains an institution atop the world of fine male choral singing. Featuring a unique blend of musical excellence and theatrical showmanship, the Glee Club has won worldwide acclaim. In Daniel Carsello's year as the Club's Interim Director, the Penn Glee Club continues to delight audiences of all ages. Its world renowned tradition and rich history began modestly in 1862 when eight undergraduate men formed the Club, making the Penn Glee Club the oldest performing arts group at the University of Pennsylvania.
From these humble beginnings, the Penn Glee Club has reached audiences around the world, touring internationally since 1959 and travelling to nearly all 50 states in the United States and over 40 nations and territories on five continents. The modern Club is a reflection of its rich heritage and contemporary character. The University of Pennsylvania Glee Club remains, as former Pennsylvania Governor Milton Shapp once remarked, "one of the finest musical organizations in existence." It proudly represents the University in its grand tradition and is equally proud to preserve its unique blend of choral excellence and theatrical brilliance."
In May of 2019, the Club will embark upon its next international tour, to East Asia, with stops in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Macau, Taipei and Tokyo. The purpose of this tour is three-fold, first to create a meaningful cultural exchange with people in each location and learn about their culture, second to have outstanding performances with large crowds in great local venues, and finally to connect with our Alumni abroad and rekindle relationships with the University and the Glee Club itself.

賓夕法尼亞大學合唱團誕生至今雖已有157年，它仍然是一個世界頂尖的男性合唱團。 合唱團以獨特的手法，融合了卓越的音樂和戲劇表演，贏得了全世界的讚譽。在Daniel Carsello擔任俱樂部臨時總監的那一年，賓夕法尼亞合唱團繼續為所有年齡段的觀眾帶來歡樂。它世界著名的傳統和豐富的歷史始於1862年，當時有8名學士在讀的男子組成了合唱團，使其成為了賓夕法尼亞大學歷史最悠久的藝術表演團體。
從默默無聞到如今舉世聞名，賓夕法尼亞歡樂合唱團吸引了世界各地的觀眾，自1959年以來一直在國際巡迴演出，並前往美國幾乎所有50個州以及遍布五大洲的40多個國家和地區。合唱團反映了其豐富的傳統和現代特色。賓夕法尼亞大學合唱團仍然是前賓夕法尼亞州州長Milton Shapp曾經說過的，“現存最好的音樂組織之一。”它自豪地代表了大學的傳統，同時亦自豪地保留了其獨特的、優秀歌唱與傑出的戲劇性的融合。“
2019年5月，合唱團將開始下一次國際巡演，前往東亞，在上海、香港、澳門、台北和東京進行表演。這次旅行的目的有三，首先是與每個地方的人們進行有意義的文化交流，了解他們的文化；其次是在當地的大劇院里、在眾多觀眾面前舉行盛大的表演；最後就是與我們的海外校友聯繫，重新建立與大學與合唱團的良好關係。
