Activity Review of Choi Kai Yau College 5th Anniversary Celebration:
2nd High Table Dinner of Academic Year 2018/2019
On the evening of 24 January 2019, the first high table dinner of this semester has been held at the Choi Kai Yau College with over 250 participants. To celebrate the College’s 5th anniversary, notable guests have been invited to this event, including Professor Ge Wei, Interim Vice Rector of the University of Macau; Mr. Gou Renmin from the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao S.A.R.; Mr. Lo Veng Keong, Chairman of the Choi’s Educational and Cultural Foundation; Professor Jean Chen, Dean and Chair Professor of the Faculty of Business Administration; Professor Wu Wei, College Master of the Meng Xiancheng College of East China Normal University; Mr. Zhou Yuan, Dean of Students of Xian Jiaotong University, and Dr. Ho U, Principal of the Escola Xin Hua.
For high table dinner being the annual large-scale event of all UM residential colleges, it aims at providing an official occasion for participants to socialize with each other, and listen to the stories shared by the notable guest. In the title of “My Journey to Macao,” Professor Ge shares about his study experience in different parts of the world, and how he has built his life-long relationship with his supervisors. After the scholarship awarding and toasting ceremonies, high table dinner ended with the singing performance by Ms Sheng Mei, Associate Head of the Department of Music at the Zhuhai College of Jilin University.
To celebrate its 5th anniversary, Choi Kai Yau College has organized a series of commemoratory activities, including the fellow’s talks, master lectures, Dunhuang artistic exchange, and evening parties.
