Dear Colleagues and Students,
Thank you for your continuous support to the University Lecture Series which feature distinguished speakers of world-renowned scholars and prominent leaders from different fields.
In June, we are honored to have invited six prominent scholars and scientists in the areas of big data, urban security, the Internet of things, future transport, smart structure and cloud computing, to speak at the University Lecture Series on “Challenges and Opportunities of Big Data.” Our keynote speaker is: Academician MEI Hong, member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences; member of the World Academy of Sciences for the Advancement of Science in Developing Countries; and Professor of Beijing Institute of Technology.
Other distinguished speakers include:
· Academician FAN Weicheng, Academician, the Chinese Academy of Engineering; and Director, the Institute of Public Security, Tsinghua University
· Prof. ZHANG Ping, Director of State Key Laboratory of Networking and Switching Technology, and Professor of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications
· Prof. WU Jianping, Professor, School of Civil Engineering at Tsinghua University; and Director of Tsinghua University – University of Cambridge – Massachusetts Institute of Technology Center for Future Transport Research
· Prof. XU You-Lin, Dean of the Faculty of Construction and Environment, and Chair Professor of Structural Engineering, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University
· Prof. JIN Hai, Cheung Kong Scholars Chair Professor of Computer Science and Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology
