English
Dear colleagues and students,

In order to present a consistent brand image of the university, we have produced the University of Macau Brand Guidelines, which outline all of the university's brand elements, correct and incorrect usage of the identifiers, as well as some templates of UM’s brand system. To let you learn more about the brand elements and correct usage of the identifiers, from today onwards, we will go through the key elements in the Guidelines one by one. Below are the rules for how to use the University Logo and the University Icon.

University Logo
The University Logo is the principal identity that represents the university, so whenever the image of the university is presented to external parties, the logo should be used. The logo consists of two parts: the emblem and the University of Macau’s name in Chinese (澳門大學), Portuguese (Universidade of Macau) and English (University of Macau).

University Icon
The University Icon is mainly for promotional use. It can be used on promotional items, souvenirs and campus facilities. Please note that for official documents, the University Logo must be used. The bilingual versions are preferred while the English-only and Chinese-only versions may also be used to cater to specific design needs.

The Block "UM" Symbol is no longer used:

For details, please refer to the University of Macau Brand Guidelines, or download the Guidelines from UM website (Home / About UM / University Identity / Downloads): https://www.um.edu.mo/about-um/university-identity/downloads.html .
