Speaker Introduction:
Ms. Celia Lao, CEO of AirAsia Hong Kong and Macao, joined AirAsia in 2004 as the company's first employee in Greater China. In 2004, she brought AirAsia to Macao, which is the very first low-cost carrier that operates international routes in the Special Administrative Regions.
Over the past 13 years, Lao has made great contributions to strengthen AirAsia's presence in Macao as well as Greater China. She has accumulated significant experiences in regulatory and airport affairs, operations, marketing, sales, public relations and route network planning, laying a solid foundation for her to further develop and manage the business in both Hong Kong and Macao.
During her tenure, the route network in Greater China has grown to 448 weekly flights across 58 routes to 19 destinations in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
Recently, Ms. Lao received the "Nobel Laureates Honorary Award : 2019 Asian Outstanding Leadership for Women".
