High Performance Computing User Forum 2019


    To: All Staff and Students

    We are pleased to announce that the 3rd generation of High Performance Computing Cluster (HPCC) - Coral has been released.

    In response to the research needs of high performance computing, ICTO reviewed the existing resources and established a new generation of HPCC, namely Coral. The overall computing performance of the 3rd generation HPCC will be increased by 12.5 times compared with the last generation, occupying a leading position of the HPCC within the higher education institutes in Macau.

    Coral uses Rocks 7 (CentOS 7) as operating system, providing more than 2,000 computing cores, 85 servers and 34 graphics processing units (GPU), huge memory computing server with 3TB RAM and 40Gb/s internal fiber connection.

    In order to promote the use of HPCC, ICTO is going to arrange a forum "High Performance Computing User Forum 2019" on 11 April, 2019 (Thursday) from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at room E4-G051. This forum aims to introduce the new release of HPCC - Coral by ICTO, and the invited professors will share their real experience on using HPCC for their research.
