The 18th Macao-wide English Speech Contest
Theme: My Beloved Macao
College Category Topic: Macao and the Greater Bay Area
To encourage people from all walks of life to learn English, to promote English language teaching, as well as to enhance English proficiency throughout Macao. This year's contest is specially designed to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Macao Special Administrative Region.
There will be prizes for the winners, which will include a certificate of merit, a trophy and cash prizes. A maximum of two top prizes per contestant will be awarded. All finalists will be given a Merit Award. The cash awards for college category is listed below:
Champion: MOP10,000
First Runner-up: MOP8,000
Second Runner-up: MOP6,000
Best Impromptu Speaker: MOP3,000
Most Humorous Speaker: MOP2,000

Applicants should complete the online registration on the MPI website <http://speechcontest.ipm.edu.mo> and submit hard copies of the necessary documents by hand to the MPI-Bell Centre of English, 3rd Floor, Meng Tak Building of Macao Polytechnic Institute. Registration period will be ended at 13th September 2019.
