Dear colleagues and students,

We are pleased to announce that the November issue (93rd issue since launch) of My UM is now available!

Walking on UM’s campus, you will see a lot of international students. Many of them come to UM to study Portuguese language. In this issue of My UM, we interview four undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Department of Portuguese, who come from South Korea, Japan, Thailand, and Brazil. They share with us the reasons for choosing UM (Article) . We also interview Sou Kun Tou, an alumnus of UM’s Department of Electromechanical Engineering, who recently received the Outstanding Alumni Award from the Faculty of Science and Technology. Sou recalls his career path from working as an electromechanical engineer to becoming the executive director and CEO of a listed company (Article). You will also learn about the stories behind the pinboards in student bedrooms in the residential colleges (Article).
