The Earliest Performance on UM Open Day - The Flag-raising Ceremony

April 14th was the annual Open Day of the University of Macau. On this day, the UM National Flag Team, representing the symbol of UM, was responsible for the Flag-raising ceremony in wishing the UM Open Day to go for success.

5:20am -- in order to perform perfectly, all the team members needed to arrive the ‘Sculpture of Liberal Arts’ locates in the Lotus square before 6am and rehearse. They were in black suits with blue ties, golden badges, and white gloves, walking along the central avenue under the lights and stars.

For a year, experiencing numerous tasks, the UM National Flag Team has become one of the teams which get up the earliest in the morning in UM.

They pursue outstanding performance and pay attention to every detail. (for example, checking the appearance and attires, setting hairs, and tying the flag before the ceremony.)

With the national flag, Macau SAR Flag and UM flag were raised to the top gradually. Although the weather was not-so-wonderful, three flags were flying in the breeze, which was attractive.

With the flag flying in the breeze, the UM National Flag Team accomplished their task perfectly on the UM Open Day and performed their best wishes for the success of the UM Open Day.
