Use UMDrive to access and share files at home


While you are working off campus if necessary, UMDrive is one of ways for files storing and sharing. UMDrive is an on-premises cloud storage system and all files are stored on servers located in UM campus. You can directly access and share files with your colleagues by using your personal computer or mobile device.

Q. How to login UMDrive?
A: The simplest way is to down documents through browser. You can login UMDrive website (https://umdrive.um.edu.mo) with your UMPASS, and then you can preview or download the document. You may also download and install corresponding client version of UMDrive in your personal computer or mobile devices. For more details, please refer to the related FAQ.

Q. How to share files to my colleagues?
A:You can use internal share function to share documents with your colleagues. Please refer to the FAQ for more details.

Q. Can a file be edited at the same time by more than one person?
A: No. If someone has opened a file, the file will be locked and there will be a pop-up alert when others try to open that file. Other user can only read and cannot edit that.

Q. If delete the file mistakenly, can it be recovered?
A: Yes. Please refer to the FAQ for more details

Q. What kind of permission setting can internal share be set?
A: Display,Preview, Download, Copy, Modify, Create, Delete, Deny all. You can give the other users different permission according to different situation.

Q. If I don't know where the file is , can I search the file using keyword?
A: Yes. UMDrive provides full-text search of files. You can get search result from all the files/folder which you have the permission to access. Please refer to the FAQ for more details.
