Dear colleagues and students,

The November issue (98th issue) of My UM is now available!

Transitioning from college to the working world, fresh graduates of UM may have a difficult time coping with the new environment, not to mention applying what they have learned in school. In this issue, we spoke with several young alumni about their experiences and personal development as workplace rookies (Article). In the ‘People’s Stories’ column, we interviewed Kot Hung Wan, an assistant professor in the Faculty of Business Administration, who shared with us his love of literature and how he uses stories to help students learn financial concepts and theories (Article). With the ubiquitous spread of the internet, slang words are propagated at a high speed today. In the ‘UM Reporters’ Column’, UM students share their most commonly used slang words and their thoughts on the increasing popularity of slang words (Article).
