As the University Library system will be upgraded and replaced by a new generation library system, reader data (such as user account, user account code, patron type, patron name, email address, faculty/unit) will be transferred to overseas cloud servers for storage. Regarding security and data privacy, the model and controls are based on international protocols and standards, such as ISO/IEC 27001 (the standard for information security management systems -- ISMS).
