Library System Upgrade and Reader Data Transfer to Overseas Cloud Servers
Dear All,
As the University Library system will be upgraded and replaced by a new generation library system, all UM staff are REQUIRED to read and fill in the following declaration:
Reader data (such as user account, user account code, patron type, patron name, email address, faculty/unit) will be transferred to overseas cloud servers for storage.
Regarding security and data privacy, the model and controls are based on international protocols and standards, such as ISO/IEC 27001 (the standard for information security management systems -- ISMS). Please also refer to the website: Security and Data Privacy for details.
To avoid book borrow service suspension, please fill in the following declaration by May 19, 2020. Kindly use your UMPASS to log in.
