本中心隸屬於學生事務部學生輔導處，負責提供升學、就業及創業服務。我們透過提供各類型的計劃、工作坊及諮詢服務，致力加強你的就業能力及競爭力，提升你對升讀研究生課程的興趣及準備，以及增強你的創業技能。
Our centre provides further study, career and entrepreneurship services under the Student Counselling Section, Student Affairs Office. Our objective is to enhance your employability and competitiveness, increase your interests and preparation in pursuing further studies, as well as strengthen your entrepreneurial skills through various programmes, workshops and advising services.



升學情報 Further Study Insider

我們透過每兩週發佈一次的升學情報，為你提供規劃升學及所需準備的建議和指引。希望你能仔細閱讀，從而獲得一些對你的升學準備有用的資訊。
We issue bi-weekly Further Study Insider to provide advice and guidance for your further study planning and preparation. We hope you will read it through and get some useful information for your preparation process.

• 參加與教授茶聚，探索你的升學興趣，並確立升學目標。
  Attend the Tea with Professors to explore your further study interest and define your goals.
• 前往本中心閱覽區及出席升學講座，搜尋升學資訊。
  Look for further study information by visiting the Reading Area of our centre and by attending Further Study Talks.
• 諮詢生涯發展師、教授及校友，訂立心儀研究生課程清單。
  Talk to career advising associates, professors and alumni to establish a wish list of postgraduate programmes.

• 參加研究生入學試預備課程，提升應試技巧，並報考有關研究生入學試。
  Attend Preparation Courses on Graduate Admission Tests to refine your test-taking skills and register for required graduate admission tests.
• 參加升學準備工作坊，學習個人陳述及履歷的基本寫作技巧。
  Attend Further Study Workshop to learn the fundamental writing techniques of personal statement (PS) and resume.
• 與生涯發展中心預約進行個人陳述評閱服務。
  Schedule an appointment at Career Development Centre to review your personal statement.
• 邀請能夠對你的學業、工作表現、以及個人特質作出正面評價的教授，為你撰寫推薦信。
  Ask for recommendation letters from professors who can give you a positive evaluation of your academic, work performance, and personal characteristics.
• 向註冊處申請成績單。
  Request official transcripts from Registry.

• 遵守大學所訂立的規則，例如如何遞交推薦信、在截止報名日期前遞交申請所需的一切文件等。
  Follow the rules set by the universities, such as the way to submit recommendation letters, and submitting all the application documents before the deadline.
• 請求細心的人幫忙檢查入學申請文件。
  Have your documents proofread by someone with a good eye for details.
• 保存一份最終版本的申請。
  Keep a copy of the final application.

• 出席入學面試，向面試官詳細描述你的學術表現、相關經驗和能力，以証明自己是一個合適的人選。
  Attend the admission interview to convince the interview panel that you are what they look for by elaborating your academic performance, relevant experience, and skills.

入讀研究生課程前 Before Starting Your Postgraduate Study

• 感謝那些曾經在入學申請上幫助、鼓勵、支持你的人，包括曾經為你寫推薦信的老師。
  Thank those who offered assistance, encouragement and support in your application process, including the professors who wrote you recommendation letters.
• 留意註冊、繳交學費、申請住宿、迎新活動等截止日期，儘早作出相應的安排。
  Check the deadline for the enrollment process, tuition fee payment, housing application, orientation programme, etc. Make the arrangement as early as possible.
• 瀏覽教授研究生課程的老師簡介，以及了解課程安排。
  Get well prepared with the professors of the programme by browsing their profiles and research the curriculum.
