Adapting to Multiple Challenges in our First Year @UM — An Online Meet-up for Students and Teachers
To many first year students, the transition from high school to university has proved to be difficult. Under the influence of the outbreak, the process can become even more challenging for some students. On 7th May, 8 teachers and 10 student speakers from various disciplines gathered around (virtually) to join an online forum titled “Adapting to Multiple Challenges in our First Year at UM”. The participants had a fruitful discussion regarding their feelings about living and studying at home, difficulties they encountered, and effective learning strategies during the pandemic. Amid the dynamic conversations, both students and teachers were well connected and everyone is looking forward to a reunion on campus again. Bearing MLC’s cohesive spirit, the forum has attracted more than 70 audience in the cloud together.
