In order to enhance UM staff members’ understanding of the nation, the Human Resources Section of the Office of Administration organized an in-house training course on "The Relationship between the Quality of Life in Mainland China and Macao", "One Country, Two Systems Theory" and XXX on 11 November and 23 November 2022 respectively.

Prof. XU Jianhua, Head of Department of Sociology in the Faculty of Social Sciences (FSS), shared charts and data related to quality of life, and carried out the analyses and comparison between Mainland China and Macao in the context of economic development and quality of life in the past, present and future. Over 105 staff members participated.

Prof. LOK, Director of the Centre for Constitutional Law and Basic Law Studies (FLL), shared the accurate definition and core contents of the “One Country, Two Systems”. He highlighted that this policy described our mode of living, and also emphasized that the harmony between “One Country” and “Two Systems” was crucial for the social stability and economic development of the Macao SAR, and for the well-being of Macao residents.Over 70 staff members participated.

The University hopes that this training can enhance staff members’ national knowledge, know more about the social situation in Mainland China, the core contents of “One Country, Two Systems”, "XXXXXXXX, promoting patriotism and strengthening their national pride.
