Moon Chun Memorial College: “Viewing Life Through COVID-19” Life Education Talk
 
Due to the epidemic this year, our lives have undergone great changes and challenges. In order to let students think more about life, Moon Chun Memorial College seized this opportunity and specially invited a psychological counsellor from the Caritas Macau – Hoi Fai Life Education Resources Centre to conduct six sessions of life education talk for the students from 12 October to 3 November, more than 180 students attended this talk. The speaker talked about three major topics related to epidemic situation: common stress responses in an epidemic situation; self-adaptive methods in an epidemic situation; and changes in life values before and after the epidemic. During the talk, the speaker shared some inspirational stories about anti-epidemic which provoked students' thinking. Next, the speaker invited students to talk about their understanding of the epidemic and the value of life. The epidemic is a living life education textbook, and students expressed how they are dealing with the new normal and how their views on life has changed. Finally, the speaker called upon all the students to think about the value of their lives and then share their mottos on WeChat Moments, so that positive messages can be passed on to those around them. |
