| Moon Chun Memorial College invited Dr. Tianshu Zhu, Associate Professor from Faculty of Arts and Humanities, as guest speaker on “The Place of Gods and God’s People”. Professor Zhu graduated from Ohio State University, USA, with research interests on Buddhist Art, meditation, ritual practice and Chinese popular religion. In this workshop, Professor Zhu shared with audience the culture of Chinese popular religion, Buddhism and Taoism, as well as the origins, functions and development of Macau temples in five phases. Professor Zhu has shared with everyone a more diverse understanding of the culture and history of Macau through temples. |
