FEDSA, UMSU: "Special Moment 2020"
2020 is an unforgettable year that happens a coronavirus pandemic all around the world, it breaks the ordinary pace of most of our lives. Faculty of Education Students’ Association, UMSU has organised an online activity “Special moment, 2020” from April to May 2020. This activity was operated through the online platform for the FED students to join the challenge as a whole class. Within this challenge, participants required to finish the target tasks at home (the task are separated into personal tasks and group tasks) to earn the marks. The prices are standardised by different criteria for the participant.
This activity aimed at enhancing the relationship between students’ according to the class suspension, encourage them to overcome the restrictions of the epidemic ‘COVID-19’, bravely express their concern and greetings to teachers and students, so that teachers and students can feel the warmth of each other at home.
This activity achieved the desired effect, to participate through mass in class every day to send regards to the professor teaching information by sending E-mail greetings, call for classmates’ cheer clips and take photos on video via Zoom. This activity increased the cohesion inside the class, taken advantage of the active atmosphere in class, and some professors also said that by receiving students' true blessing which made them felt warm and wish this epidemic gone fast and wish to meet us on campus again soon. Participants said that the teaching model of this semester lost the learning atmosphere of previous students gathering together, which was a little strange. The activity made the class once again expand the topic and “Unite together in zoom" in a different form, recording this special 2020.
Through this activity, we wish we could be optimistic to the life, value the beautiful things around us, encourage and help each other. Moreover, this is the first time CMSA tried to hold an online competition, we have a good start for the further activities. In the coming days, please continue to support CMSA and our activities. Hope the COVID-19 could pass very soon and look forward to meeting all of you on the campus. |
