ICTO Tips – Enable "802.1x Authentication Program" to connect UM Wired Network in Classrooms
ICTO has setup network cable in most of the classrooms so that staff can establish stable network connection with wired network.
(1) For computers with Windows 10, download the “Enable/Disable 802.1X Authentication Program“.
(2) Plug in the network cable with label “UM Wired LAN” to your computer.
(3) Run the “Enable/Disable 802.1x Authentication Program“.
Please run again the “Enable/Disable 802.1X Authentication Program“ after using the wired network in order to disabled 802.1x authentication.
Notes for using Wired network:
- DO NOT RUN “Enable/ Disable 802.1x Authentication Program” if your computer use static IP. Manual steps to enable authentication can be found here.
- 802.1x authentication is not required for connecting network service off campus, you may run the above program again or manually disable the authentication.
