UM's project on new cancer drug development wins award at national competition
An innovative project, titled ‘Development of New Cancer Drugs Based on Autophagy Regulation’, conducted by a research team led by Prof Lu Jiahong in the Institute of Chinese Medical Sciences at the University of Macau (UM), won an Excellence Award at the Greater Bay Area High-Value Patent Cultivation Competition. It was the only project from Macao to win an award at the competition. The event attracted a total of 658 projects across the country, covering eight areas, namely next-generation information technology, high-end equipment manufacturing, green and low-carbon technology, biomedicine, digital economy, new materials, marine economy, and modern agriculture.
