Dear colleagues and students,

During the anti-pandemic period, it is more often for us to order food with delivery service. Ordering food by traditional phone calls or online platform not only allows us to enjoy food at home anytime, but also reduces our chance of eating out. To ensure food safety, you are advised to pay attention to the following points:

  • Choose restaurants with legal or appropriate license. Make sure that information about the restaurant (for example, name of the restaurant, phone number, address and menu, etc.) is available on the ordering platform;
  • Choose restaurants that are close to you in order to shorten the distance of delivery, as well as to ensure that the delivery time does not exceed 1 hour;
  • Check the storage temperature of food. Pay attention whether suitable delivery method is used. Hot food should be stored in an incubator; cold ready-to-eat food should be stored in a refrigerator;
  • Pay attention to the health condition of the delivery personnel and the hygiene condition of the delivery facility;
  • Check the packaging when receiving food. If you have doubt about the safety and hygiene condition, refuse the food and report to the restaurant or delivery personnel immediately;
  • Consume the food as soon as possible after receiving. Store the food properly if it is not consumed immediately. Follow the rule of “hot food should be stored hot while cold food should be stored cold”;
  • Put the leftover food in the refrigerator. Reheat it thoroughly when you would like to eat it again. Reheat once only.
