UM holds seminar to discuss Macao’s urban development master plan
The Centre of Macau Studies (CMS) of the University of Macau (UM) today (17 September) held a seminar to discuss the draft urban development master plan of Macao SAR for the 2020-2040 period. The seminar was chaired by CMS Director Agnes Lam. During the event, experts and scholars exchanged ideas on the draft plan from a macro perspective. According to UM Vice Rector Ge Wei, the master plan is crucial to the development of Macao in the next two decades. As an international comprehensive public university, UM has the responsibility to invite experts and scholars to discuss the content of the plan. The CMS will continue to organise seminars to discuss topics related to the draft plan, including transport and infrastructure, cultural and environmental planning, and industrial planning.
