UM students’ graduation works tell stories of Macao residents during the epidemic

The University of Macau (UM) Department of Communication recently published the latest issue of the student magazine Communicator, which is titled ‘A Tale of Macao During the Pandemic’. Produced by fourth-year students of communication studies, this issue contains interviews with more than 20 Macao residents on their everyday life in Macao during the epidemic.

Divided into five sections, the magazine details how Macao residents combat the virus in their different roles, including doctor, police officer, customs officer, parent, teacher, hotel employee, non-local labour, and delivery driver. The magazine also includes articles on discrimination against particular groups in different parts of the world, as well as articles on wild animals that reflect on the relationship between men and animal.

The magazine is now available for free at the following locations: Chakra SPACE, Pin-to Livros & Musica, Rooftop Macau, The Perfect Moment, Single Origin, A Porta Da Arte, UM Wu Yee Sun Library, the library of Macau University of Science and Technology, the library of Macao Institute for Tourism Studies, Macao Central Library, Sir Robert Ho Tung Library, Patane Library, Ilha Verde Library, Taipa Library, and Associação Geral das Mulheres de Macau. It is also available for reading at Cafe Philo and various residential colleges at UM.
